The Lamaze Office is officially open Monday-Thursday from 9:30 am to 3:30pm--frequently, someone is available at other times also. We have twenty-four hour voice mail and will return your call as soon as possible.

Class Cancellation and Refund Policy

Please let us know as soon as possible if you do not plan to participate in the class/series so that someone on the waitlist may be contacted. There are no refunds, credits or reduction of fees for classes missed by the student/family during the class. If we cancel a class due to insufficient registration or circumstances beyond our control, we will do everything in our power to find an alternative class.

Your request for refund will be honored if made TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE START of the class or a series for which you are registered. A $25 processing fee will be withheld for each class over $100 and a $10 processing fee will be withheld for each class under $100.

No refunds will be given during the one week prior to the start of the class or after the start of the class or series. If you request a refund within a week before class starts through the first two weeks of the session, you may receive a prorated class credit voucher to be used when registering for any class at LFCAA. After the first two weeks, no refund or credit vouchers will be given.

While we recognize that due dates are an estimate by your care provider, we encourage families to complete all prenatal classes 3-4 weeks before your due date. If you go into labor and deliver your baby within two weeks of the start of the series or one week after the start of the series, our cancellation and refund policy still applies.

All credits can be converted to a tax-deductible donation to LFCAA, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Documentation will be provided.

Inclement Weather Policy

All Prenatal and Postpartum Classes

While we recognize that weather in Michigan can be a little unpredictable, we generally do NOT cancel classes unless the City of Ann Arbor has issued a red alert or if Washtenaw Community College has canceled their classes. This information can be found on local radio stations or at the city website. If you feel that it is not safe to travel, please notify your instructor or the Lamaze office at info@lamazefamilycenter.org and we will help you make arrangements to make-up your missed class.

Parent Toddler Playgroup

For all parent toddler classes, if Ann Arbor Public Schools has canceled classes for the day, we WILL cancel parent toddler classes as well. The AAPS school hotline number is 994-8684.

If parent toddler playgroups are canceled, we will appropriately extend the number of classes in that current series to accommodate the missed class(es). If we are unable to extend the series, you will be provided a credit for the canceled class which can be applied to your account for your next registration.

Outdoor Classes

Classes will be canceled due to thunderstorms with lightning, as well as severe storm warnings or tornado warnings. Otherwise, class will proceed rain or shine.

If an outdoor class is canceled, we will appropriately extend the number of classes in that current series to accommodate the missed class(es). If we are unable to extend the series, you will be provided a credit for the canceled class which can be applied to your account for your next class registration.
